There was a pause and then the trans-dimensional being said, "There is a point where the destiny of one is interwoven with the destiny of the many...Agreed. If the other rangers chose freely to accept this danger then I will not oppose their decision."

Billy let out an explosive sigh. "Thankyou Zordon!"The Falcon shook his head. "Kid, it'd be an honor, and that's not the sort of thing I say lightly. First things first, though. If you're gonna be my apprentice, call me Duke. 'The Black Falcon' is just a- professional alias."
Chelsea nodded. "Got it. So what's first on the agenda?"
"Your first lesson is all lecture, so pull up a patch of ground and get comfortable," he informed her, sinking gracefully to a cross-legged position. She followed, regarding him expectantly. She stared after him as he jumped off of the trailer and walked away. She didn't know what to think of that. Since when did he not care about Keyota? Since when was he irresponsible enough to get drunk and then turn down a ride home? Since when did *he* walk away from *her*?

Ty had found a new conversation partner by now, but even from where she was Kerone could see his face light up when the Silver Ranger came his way again. Another question occurred to her, and it dampened her indignation over Zhane's behavior. Since when does Zhane have friends outside of the Rangers?

When she thought about it, she couldn't come up with any other person he consistently spent time with. He was arguably the most social of any of them, yet out of deference to Andros he had formed few lasting friendships outside of the team. She wondered if it had been like that before, on Rayven when they two had been the only Rangers--

"I'm gonna tell you all about the Deshaadra. What you can expect as my apprentice, from other members, from the Council, and from the galaxy at large. How much did Ecliptor tell you about us?"

"Alpha, contact all the other Rangers and Kimberly, I need to speak to them immediately." Billy paced up and down nervously awaiting their arrival and as Alpha announced they would be teleporting in, Skye hissed a warning and threw him a holomimic shield for his face. He had barely positioned it when columns of multicoloured light filled the chamber. They were obviously expecting a monster attack and were woefully unprepared for it by the signs of strain and despair in all their faces. None of them had been untouched by the news.
