"Okay...lets put it this way...the Rangers have gone to pieces, my friend Skye has spent the last nearly two days paralysed with guilt in a darkened room. Rocky was nearly killed, and Tommy has gone off the rails in a way only Tommy can...and you need to ask what do I mean?" Billy ended forcefully.

Kim looked down, picking at the grass. "It is my fault. I feel bad about Skye....it wasn't meant to hurt him" she said softly.

"No I know..." Billy said quietly. "I saw a recording of what happened- and I would like to know why you let go?"Cassie hooked her fingers into the back pockets of her jeans and wandered over to the counter. There was nothing on the stove, but the smell was stronger here and she sniffed appreciatively. "Mmm," she said, watching him out of the corner of her eye while she hunted for the source of the aroma. "Smells good!"

Saryn turned around at last, and his eyes were hooded when he pinned his gaze on her. "You deceived me."

She suppressed a sigh. "Yeah," she agreed, not bothering to argue his conclusion. It was true, after all. A random thought occurred to her then and she was hard-pressed not to smile. "Think how handy that will be on your birthday."

Kimberley stared "How...?"Red Ranger groaned. "That was what you took me for the last time. It was almost three years ago. I was wearing white, and you were part of the Prince's guard. You attacked us, until we convinced you that Alpha had sent us. Meanwhile, I was getting beaten up by Dex."
          Donaeus' jaw dropped. "Tommy?" He turned to his companion. "Put the blaster away, Sharana. They're on our side."
          "Are you sure of that?" the girl asked, gray eyes never leaving the five before her.
          "Dregon's goons have too much ego to admit that Dex wiped the floor with them. Besides, I remember this one."
          Reluctantly, Sharana holstered her blaster, but the look she turned on the newcomers said that she was not at all convinced.

"Too clever for my own good Kim" Billy said determined not to be side-tracked "I also have good reason to trust Skye's instincts, and he has told me twice now there is something seriously wrong with you."
